EXPERIENCE HUE VILLAGES HALF – DAY TOUR

09:00 AM: Our driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hue City Center. Then, start the trip with hands - on experience in Hue’s local villages.

- Our first destination is Dieu De Pagoda, built by King Thieu Tri under the Nguyen Dynasty. The pagoda not only witnessed the ups and downs of the Nguyen Dynasty but also played a pivotal role in Vietnam’s Buddhist and anti-war movements in the 1960s. Visiting this site, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and gain a deeper insight into the city's spiritual traditions here.

- Then, we head to Bao Vinh Ancient Town—one of the bustling ancient towns during the Nguyen Dynasty from the mid-17th to 19th centuries, which welcomed many Chinese merchant ships for trade. Located outside the Hue Royal Citadel, along the poetic Huong River, it offers a lively market atmosphere like Hoi An Ancient Town, yet with a more tranquil and authentic charm. Come here, you will have the chance to explore the ancient town and learn how to make ginger jam under the guidance of local artisans. Then, enjoy hands-on experience peeling, slicing, and simmering fresh ginger with sugar and take home a sweet handmade treat as a memory of your journey.

- Take a short ferry along the Huong River to Thanh Tien Village, also known as Paper Flower Village. Over 400 years, Paper Flowers have been not only used for worshipping ancestors but also for decoration and display at the most important cultural events, particularly Hue Festival. When visiting Thanh Tien village, you can witness artisans skillfully crafting paper flowers in a variety of colors and shapes. Also, you have an amazing hands-on experience by taking part in making this craft with the local artisans.

- Next, we will visit Sinh folk painting village. Hue people use these paintings to adore and worship in ceremonies to pray for peace and relieve drought. When visiting the painting village, visitors learn how to paint a folk painting profession and explore famous Sinh village wrestling with the artisan, Ky Huu Phuoc.
